September, October, November 2019 Roundup

September was a good month overall, I listened to even more Prince Daddy and the Hyena, including their second album, I Thought You Didn’t Even Like to Leave.I also listened to a lot of Hot Mulligan, because their music goes perfect with Cross Country season. I had a lot of fun this season in Cross Country, and the meet sand practices were fun with my friends like Mason, Austin, and Chris.

We went up to visit Ian at an App State game and UFC 242 happened that day as well, with Dustin Poirier lost. Alec and I binged 2 Hulu horror movies in one night, and it was a lot of fun.

We had the overnight leadership retreat, wh8ich was pretty fun, I made spaghetti-O jello, which was pretty funny. I also got the UFC 3 Game and it was a ton of fun, I played it all month. I also watched a lot of MixedMollyWhoppery videos while playing UFC 3 and Skate 3.

I went to Sean’s house and we played UFC 3, then grabbed some beers and rode around in the golf cart. We got back and played some more and overall it was a super fun night. I also watched a horror movie called Tall Girl, and I also watched the Jose Aldo movie, “stronger than the world”. It was a very South American film.Blink 182’s new album came out, and it was ok. I played the COD beta and it was a lot of fun.

Ian came home and we smoked and chilled out. We watched a movie called “Boys in the Trees”. It was one of the most theatrical and best representations of the vulnerability of young boys that I’ve seen in film, and it was awesome.

October was a crazy month, but it was a lot of fun. It was spirit week so we dressed up for all the days and were super busy that week getting ready for homecoming. I didn’t go to homecoming this year because I was kind of over it this year, but I will most likely go next year.

I practiced MMA a lot and hit the bag a lot that week. Alec and I got a lot of solid wake and bakes during this month, but it didn’t last long before we were caught.

The ball run was homecoming week and I ran all of it on the last day, so I ran 8 miles at once, which was well worth the reward of homemade ice cream. I listened to more Prince Daddy and the Hyena, and a ton of Midwest Emo this month.

Things like Hot Mulligan, American Football, and Free Throw were some of my favorites. Decorating the hall was a lot of fun, and sean and I got caught a nice buzz before helping out.

On Homecoming night Sean and I smoked outside the palladium and got some munchies at Freddy’s before seeing the Joker, which was a super dark and amazingly performed movie, before smoking again and then going home, just in time to watch UFC 243. It was basically a perfect night.

I went on the DC Trip and for the most part it kind of emphasized the divide in our friend groups, because some of my friends don’t hang out with each other anymore.

I did hang out with Leighton a lot on the trip and had some good times with Davidson. It took me a while, but I absolutely fell in love with Jyoce Manors, album, “Never Hungover Again”.I also listened to a lot of the Front Bottoms, and learned “Rhode Island” on the acoustic guitar.

We also had the caraway workout, which was extremely hard but pretty fun. I listened to more Lil Peep over that week, and some Barren as well. Mom and I headed up to Galax, just the two of us, to meet Mark to visit Nan and Grandsam. We watched F8 of the Furious and shopped at a cool thrift store, overall it was a great break during the weekend.

Halloween was in full swing, and in movie club we watched “The Haunting Hour” and had a double feature, showing it Thursday and Wednesday. I also watched a lot of “Freaks and Geeks” this month, which is an awesome show.

Sean and I skipped 4th period one day to smoke, and it was a hilarious experience.

I reread “The Long Walk” and it was great the second time as well. Cross Country states was a lot of fun, and I ran a 18:41, and I am super proud of that time, I ran really well. Davidson’s halloween party was fun, and I dressed up as a mummy, and then we went to Spookywoods and had a good time.

The new call of duty came out and it was also a ton of fun. Halloween was nice too. Overall, it was a great, eventful month, and October is always one of the best months of the year.

November 2019 was a very good month, and it had wayt less conflict. I mostly played Modern Warfare during this month while I listened to Chapotraphouse. Since it was the leadership trip this month I listened to a ton of Lil Peep. I uploaded all of his songs onto a master playlist on spotify. I also listened to a ton of Joyce Manoir and The Hotelier, which are two awesome pop-punk bands. Those two bands have very unique sounds that I was drawn to, and those are the three bands I mostly listened to this month.

The Mandalorian came out on Disney plus, and Ian, Alec, and I watched the first 4 episodes together. I watched the new season of Atypical, which was decent, albeit entertaining. Bojack Horseman season 6 was not as good as the last one but it was still very good. I started wrestling this month and got 1 win, and also did Mrs. Key’s soup kitchen, which was fun.

Sean and I got a dab pen and chilled out during the day. I also played a game called The Outer Worlds, which is a sci-fi game that has amazing political commentary and a cool aesthetic. I listened to Tiny Meat gang and Chapotraphouse while I played The Outer Worlds and mowed Mrs.Mccarns lawn. I went to Mason’s house for UFC 244 with Bradley , Garrett , adn Mason. Lot of fun with some joints and stuff, sucks that Nate Diaz lost.

Nan was home and we watched Rocketman, which got me really into Elton John for a while. Thanksgiving was fun at Nan’s, and hanging out with Zane was very cool. Ian and I smoked hash and watched some EliteXCand PRIDE fights, which was super fun, especially Nick Diaz.

Davidson and Sean came over and we played COD and watched Jackass and Green Inferno. In the morning we also watched Notorious for the third time.

The Leadership trip was also this month, and although sometimes those trips can be weird, i was able to find friend to chill w. I caught a buzz before we headed over to Georgetown so it was a lot of fun hanging with Bradley.

We also hit the pen before the nighttime conference, which made it tolerable. It was a very fun trip overall. Overall, November was a great month that was a lot of fun.
